Wellness Institute
Nichols Center Launches
Wellness Institute
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Nichols Center Wellness Institute, a groundbreaking initiative focused on trauma resiliency, harm reduction, opioid overdose prevention, and community awareness education.
Building on our successful Impact Stress Resiliency Training program, the Wellness Institute will offer:
-
Expanded Trauma Resiliency Training: Our evidence-informed 3-phase course for first responders will now be available to a broader audience, including healthcare workers and community leaders.
-
Harm Reduction Programs: We're implementing strategies to support community-level harm reduction, including naloxone distribution and training.
-
Opioid Overdose Prevention: The Institute will provide education on recognizing and responding to opioid overdoses, as well as information on safe medication disposal through our Drug Free Home initiative.
-
Crisis Response Education & Wellness: We're developing a Crisis Response Education & Wellness (CREW) to empower communities with tools to build strategies for resiliency, mental health safety, and prevention.
The Wellness Institute will also feature:
-
Clinically integrated wellness programs, focused on mental health and recovery education.
-
Peer-driven group discussions to normalize conversations about mental health, trauma, and recovery.
-
Family support programs to enhance overall emotional well-being for first responders, law enforcement, crisis workers and their loved ones.
Join us in our mission to create a healthier, safer, and more resilient community. Together, we can make a difference in addressing the challenges of trauma, substance use, and mental health.
